1st Annual Man Up Halloween “Truck or Treat for the Kids”

After talking about it for weeks, the organizers from the Man Up! Program had planned to host a Halloween “Truck or Treat” event for the kids. The event was aimed at attracting young kids in their costumes, along with their parents. The program relied on volunteers and donations from: Debrah Frett, Natosha Freeman, Lydia Allen, Jacquette Freeman, India Jamison, Tanika Jones-Cole, Harry Hines Sr., Sean Ratcliff, Cliff Ryan, Greg Hall, Chuck Pitts, Robert NO Williams, Dewayne Comer, Laquon Davis, Michael Simpson, Dewayne Eure Paula Copppin, Eric Glover, Davide Porter, Fred Cross, James Wilson, LeReal Mcloven, Ty Ty (Lemonade Man) and Charles D’arcy Pitts.

On October 31, Halloween night, the Man Up! Program hosted their first annual Halloween “truck and Treat” for the kids. The parking lot on the corner of South Salina Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd became a favorite spot for many Syracuse young kids. It was definitely a community. John “JT” Freeman decorated the area with pumpkins, I’yanna & Jewell carved the pumpkins, Calvin “Cee Vee” brown, Christopher “show chris” Mormon, Jacquette Freeman and Jerse Williams distributed the candy. In addition, president of the common council, Helen Hudson and Senator Rachel May stopped by to show their support. And a special thank you to all the parents. It was a great time for the kids and the community.
